Annual Coaching Development Opportunities

 Through the year Netball NT provides multiple coach development opportunities for coaches across the Territory. These opportunities are available to all coaches of all levels. Please see these listed below, for any further information please contact pathways@netballnt.org.au 

2019 PCC – Practical Coaching Classes

Practical Coaching Classes are a great way to see new ways of how to run training sessions with your athletes. These practical sessions are run by the Pathways Manager for you to observe, take notes and ask questions. Other specialists will also be available to guide your observations and assist you in transferring these activities into your own training sessions.

Darwin

Wednesday 13th March 6.30-8 pm, Territory Netball Stadium, Marrara

  • Age Group 11U & 13U
  • Fundamental skills,  keeping training sessions varied, vital movement skills

Wednesday 27th March 6.30-8 pm, Territory Netball Stadium, Marrara

  • Age Group 15’s and older
  • Vital movement skills, tactics, full court timing, penalty passes

Alice Springs 

Sunday 3rd March 9-10.30 am, Alice Springs Netball Stadium

  • Age Group 11U & 13U
  • Fundamental skills, space awareness, keeping training sessions varied, vital movement skills

Sunday 3rd March 2019 10.45-12 pm, Alice Springs Netball Stadium

  • Age Group 15’s and older
  • Coaching techniques, vital movement skills, tactics, full court timing, penalty and free passes

Friday 1st March 2019,  Alice Springs Netball Stadium

  • Club Coach Induction session;
  • Guide to warm ups
  • Game day coaching tips
  • Planning Sessions
  • Question and Answer forum

One on One Mentoring for Club Coaches

 

During the following blocks the Pathways Manager is available to work with Club coaches in a one on one format over a 4 week block. This would include attending the weekly training sessions and potentially games. Depending on need this could involve the following;

Week 1 Pathways Manager leads training session

Week 2 Club Coach leads training session

Week 3 Pathways Manager leads training session

Week 4 Club Coach leads training session

Alternatively the Pathways Manager will review your session plan, observe training sessions and provide feedback and guidance.

Alice Springs

Varied format depending on need. Pathway Manager visits to Alice Springs are currently scheduled as follows;

NTIS Coaching Seminars

 

Throughout the year the NTIS runs workshops, seminars and practical coaching sessions. These are free and available to all coaches of all levels.

Covering a variety of topics these are a great way to increase your coaching knowledge and develop as a coach.
