Netball NT acknowledges and celebrates the ongoing contribution of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander netball community. There is an identified need to increase our efforts to support and engage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players, coaches, umpires, volunteers, their families and communities. After the successful implementation of Netball Australia’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in 2015, Netball NT developed their inaugural RAP for 2016-2018. In 2018, Netball NT’s RAP will be reviewed and updated.

The Netball NT RAP Advisory Group will consist of up to 3 members in addition to the Netball NT Community Development Manager and Pathway Manager, with the majority being Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander members, or representatives of organisations working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The Netball NT board is responsible for appointing all members of the RAP Advisory Group and determining the process of appointment.

To apply to be a member of the Netball NT RAP Advisory Group, please read the Guiding Principles, complete the Expression of Interest form and return to Netball NT with your CV and/or accompanying letter outlining your experience within the netball community in a variety of capacities, as players, administrators and coaches, as well as members beyond the netball community who bring experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander sports and cultural programs, and skills and experience in RAP development and implementation.

Expression of Interest period closes Wednesday, 14 March 2018 at 5.00pm.
