Recently the Member Associations of Netball NT adopted a new Constitution and subsequent to that the Board of Netball NT adopted a set of By-Laws and included amongst them was provision of the recognition to Individual Members who have given at least ten (10) years outstanding service to netball.
Clause 19 of the Netball NT By-Laws reads as follows:
19. SERVICE EXCELLENCE AWARD
(a) The Association shall recognise outstanding service to the Association by an Individual Member who shall be eligible to receive the service excellence award provided that the nominated member has given at least ten (10) years outstanding service to netball.
(b) Candidates for the award may be nominated by any Member.
(c) The criteria is not based on length of service alone but shall also include the scope of the nominees contribution beyond the norm of ordinary duties of office.
(d) Nominations shall be submitted in writing to the Executive Officer by 30 November each year on the approved nomination form and shall include netball specific qualifications.
(e) Notwithstanding Clause 19 (d) with the adoption of these new Netball NT By Laws post 30 November that for the recognition of recipients in 2021 nominations shall be submitted in writing to the Executive Officer by 28 February 2021 on the approved nomination form and shall include netball specific qualifications.
(f) The Board will determine from the nominations the recipients of the service excellence award. No more than five service excellence awards will be awarded in any one year.
(g) The service excellence award will be presented to the recipient at an appropriate occasion.
