Participation Officer

Full Time | Darwin | Commencing January 2027

Netball NT is looking for a motivated, organised and community-focused Participation Officer to join our team and help grow grassroots netball across the Northern Territory.

This role is all about connecting people with netball, creating positive participation experiences and strengthening relationships with schools, clubs, Member Associations and community organisations throughout the Territory.

Working across a range of grassroots initiatives, including NetSetGO, Sporting Schools, Walking Netball and community participation activities, you'll help introduce more people to the game, support local opportunities to play and encourage ongoing involvement in netball.

You'll also play an important role in supporting our community coaching workforce, helping ensure programs are delivered by capable, supported and engaged coaches and volunteers.

Based at Sitzler Netball Centre in Marrara, this is a full-time position involving engagement with communities across the NT, with some travel to regional and remote locations.

Experience in community engagement, sports development, grassroots sport or a related field is essential. Knowledge of netball participation programs and experience delivering introductory netball activities would be an advantage.

Duty Assistant

Looking for casual work during the day that could fit around school hours, family commitments or other responsibilities?

Netball NT is seeking friendly, reliable and organised individuals to join our team as Duty Assistants at Territory Netball Stadium in Marrara.

With daytime shifts available depending on venue bookings, this role could be a great fit for parents, carers or anyone looking for casual employment that works around their lifestyle.

As a Duty Assistant, you'll help ensure our venue is safe, welcoming and ready for use by schools, sporting groups and community organisations. You'll be a key point of contact for venue hirers, assist with day-to-day operations and help maintain the presentation and safety of our facilities.

We're looking for someone who is:

// Willing to undertake practical tasks, including setting up equipment and maintaining venue presentation

// Available for casual shifts based on venue bookings, particularly during daytime hours

Previous experience in a sporting or recreation venue would be an advantage, but we're also interested in hearing from people with strong customer service skills and a willingness to learn.

Shifts are casual and vary depending on venue bookings, with no guaranteed minimum weekly hours.
