In the tight-knit community of 800 people, Netball NT was pleased to have over 230 participants in their clinics which were held during and after school to serve the whole community. The program was held in Ramingining Community Recreation Hall and was received very well by participants with full engagement by all concerned. Senior students particularly enjoyed the challenge of an on court game with full positions. Junior school rapidly picked up the skills and challenged us to move on to harder tasks. They had fun playing games and doing activities.
The feedback from the community staff was positive and reactions from the children was excellent. The Community is looking towards bringing a team to the upcoming Indigenous Carnival in May. A Community venture with the Autism NT was enjoyed, where help from Netball NT was offered and accepted.
