Netball NT is now seeking nominations from the wider netball community for the recognition of people within the netball fraternity for both Service Excellence Awards and Netball NT Life Membership.
Service Excellence Awards
The rules for consideration of the Service Excellence Award are based on Clause 19 of the Netball NT by-laws, which are as follows :
19 Service Excellence Awards
(a) The Association shall recognise outstanding service to the Association by an individual Member who shall be eligible to receive the service excellence award provided that the nominated member has given at least ten (10) years outstanding service to Netball.
(b) Candidates for the award may be nominated by any member.
(c) The criteria is not based on length of service alone but shall also include the scope of the nominees contribution beyond the norm of ordinary duties of office.
(d) Nominations shall be submitted in writing to the Executive Officer by 30 November each year on the approved nomination form and shall include netball specific qualifications.
(e) Notwithstanding Clause 19 (d) with the adoption of these new Netball NT By Laws post 30 November that for the recognition of recipients in 2021 nominations shall be submitted in writing to the Executive Officer by 28 February 2021 on the approved nomination form and shall include netball specific qualifications.
(f) The Board will determine from the nominations the recipients of the service excellence award. No more than five service excellence awards will be awarded in any one year.
(g) The service excellence award will be presented to the recipient at an appropriate occasion.

Lifetime Member Awards
5.3 Life Members
(a) The Association may, from among persons who have provided long and meritorious service with the Association, appoint Life Members in recognition of their efforts in furthering the interests of the Association.
(b) A Life Member may only be elected by Special Resolution at an Annual General Meeting.
(c) Upon life membership being conferred, the person's details shall be entered upon the register. A person shall become a Life Member from the time their life membership is formally announced.
Clause 18 from the Netball NT By- laws
18. Life Members
(a) Nominations for life membership must be submitted to the Association and must be received by the Executive Officer by 30 November each year.
(b) Notwithstanding Clause 18(a) with the adoption of these new Netball NT By Laws post 30 November that for the conduct of the 2021 Annual General Meeting only Life Membership nominations must be received by the Executive Officer by 28th February 2021.
(c) Nominations for life membership shall be examined by the Board. After reviewing the nomination and completing any relevant enquiries, the Board shall make a recommendation to the Annual General Meeting in relation to the nomination.
