Netball Northern Territory supports umpire development across the Territory and provides opportunities to progress through the Netball Australia Umpire Pathway.

Whether you're new to umpiring or looking to achieve your next accreditation, the pathway provides a clear framework to help you build your skills, confidence and knowledge of the game.

All umpire courses and Rules of Netball Exams are completed through the Netball Learning Centre.

ACCREDITATIONS 

The National C Badge is the entry-level accreditation within the Netball Australia Umpire Pathway.

C Badge umpires demonstrate basic game management, positioning and rule application, with the ability to recognise and penalise obvious infringements while maintaining player safety and game flow.

Prerequisites

// Foundation Umpire Course (completed within the last 4 years)
// Rules of Netball Exam (70% or higher)
GET STARTED 

The National B Badge builds on the foundations developed at C Badge level.

B Badge umpires demonstrate sound game management, greater consistency in decision-making and an improved understanding of contact, obstruction and advantage.

Prerequisites

// Current C Badge Accreditation
// Intermediate Umpire Course (completed within the last 4 years)
// Rules of Netball Exam (80% or higher)
GET STARTED 

The National A Badge is designed for experienced umpires officiating at a high level of competition.

A Badge umpires consistently apply the Rules of Netball, demonstrate advanced game management and effectively use positioning, vision and timing to support accurate decision-making.

// Advanced Umpire Course
// Rules of Netball Exam (90% or higher)
GET STARTED 

The National AA Badge is the highest accreditation within the Netball Australia Umpire Pathway.

AA Badge umpires demonstrate exceptional game management, technical proficiency and rule interpretation, and are capable of officiating at the highest levels of the sport.

// Rules of Netball Exam (95% or higher)
